This heater block is based on the E3D Volcano heater block. It uses the exact same top section as the E3D Hot end, it is only the heater block and nozzle which is different.
The Volcano is a high flow hot end for high speed printing. It has an extra long melt pool, which gives the material enough time to reach the required temperature at high flow rates. Another improvement is that the heater cartridge is mounter parallel to the nozzle, which increases the heat transfer between the heater cartridge and the nozzle.
